Updating my Headshot for LinkedIn

So on a personal note, I left my corporate job in October 2023 to focus my energy on opening up my own Insurance brokerage. After spending a dozen years in the Insurance industry I decided that it was the right time for me to take the leap into the world of entrepreneurship. I didn’t want to live life with any regrets or what ifs. It’s been nearly 6 months and I am getting closer to launching this venture any day. In preparation for that and the marketing that will follow, I made the time to take some new headshots.

This headshot was taken last night using a backdrop, studio light, LED backlight, tripod and my Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm lens. Not gonna lie, it’s tough being both in front of the camera AND behind the camera at the same time, but with some trial and error (and good music), it’s definitely possible!

I did this using the cameras auto shooting feature, shooting 10 pics at a time until I found the framing and lighting that I was happy with. I did some colour grading on Lightroom and used AI for photo retouching.
